PUBG Mobile update 0.18.0 is set to release today on iOS and Android.
PUBG Mobile will have the anxiously awaited update available today, May 7. It was planned to come in effect before the launch of season 13 later this month. The update will bring some major changes to the Battle Royale experience to its 50 million active users around the world. The game will not be taken offline for the patch. Players will have to make available 1.97GB on Android devices and 2.21GB on iOS devices for the new patch of PUBG Mobile to install.
In an official statement, Tencent informed player: “The server will not be taken offline for this update. This update requires approximately 1.97 GB of storage space on Android devices and 2.21 GB of storage space on iOS devices. Players on different versions won’t be able to invite one another, so be sure to update as soon as possible.”
Some of the exciting new features of the update of PUBG Mobile are:
MAD MIRAMAR:
Miramar has received a makeover in the new patch. An Oasis has been added to the northern part of the map and Urban Ruins is now to the northwest. The map is filled will additional resources, housing areas and roads as well. A new feature of SANDSTORM is also added to the map. A new racetrack is also available now for motorheads which will run through the whole map.

Golden Mirado is a new vehicle in the Miramar map. Only one vehicle will spawn on the map giving lucky players chance to show off.
New Vending Machines will give you Energy Drinks and Painkillers. The players can get up to 8 drinks at a time.
Players will have a special Win94 rifle with its own 2.7x scope.
With these changes, Mad Miramar is expected to attract a lot more players than before.
The patch also brings some other major changes for PUBG Mobile players;
Canted Sight is a new attachment for guns. It can be equipped alongside other scopes and will act as a close range scope. Canted sight is compatible with most assault rifles, light machine guns, sub-machine guns, sniper rifles and some shotguns.
Point Protection System is introduced in the new patch of PUBG Mobile. Under this system, if a player is killed by a cheater or by a player using plugins, the system, after confirming, will return the deducted points to the cheated player. PUBG Mobile management takes cheating as a serious offence. It could result in permanent ban from PUBG Mobile.
Detailed Results screen is added for players to view detailed data of each weapon they used in the game. They can check and compare match statistics with other player in the same tier.
Sanhok map is also getting a new adventure mode called the Jungle Adventure Guide mode.
P90 is added to Arena Mode with its 50 round magazine, it is a perfect addition to the fast pace of Arena Mode.
Safety Scramble Mode will come in effect as well. This will be an additional blue zone with in the Safe Zone. Health of players in decrease in this blue zone. This is to prevent camping. This blue zone will be converted in to next Safe Zone after the timer resets.
There are a dozen additional new features including improved bullet marks, stability of sight, grip improvement, firearm balancing, effective range of guns and improved enemy location markers. Overall it seems like PUBG Mobile has become more exciting and thrilling.
